Hike of the Month - Looking Glass Rock

I don't know much about happiness, but I'm pretty sure it starts with being outside! Hiking is one of my favorite hobbies and we are lucky to live in a place with opportunities for new views. I'm offering (for free) guided hikes this year. This will be our first hike this year!

About the event
You know what they say...life's just one big adventure! We'll be hiking a 6 mile out-and-back with approximately 1,700 feet elevation gain. This hike will be moderately challenging - with sections of steep grade - up to the top of Looking Glass Rock. If you've ever driven the section of the BRP between Sylva and Brevard - then you've seen this majestic beauty rising above the the landscape.
NOTE - parking can be extremely challenging - the trailhead lot is very small for the popularity of the hike. Often, cars will line the side of the road - take care if you choose to do this. There is another parking lot up the road from the trail (access point for John's rock) which is a safe option, but does add a little additional mileage to the overall hike. Car-pooling is strongly encouraged!
